1. I was L.A.Z.Y. this weekend. Finished The Walking Dead - all caught up. And started Homeland. Louie is getting ignored.
2. My parents are visiting...which means I had an amazing meal tonight. There's something to be said for coming home to a hot meal. This also means that Louie will play ALL day tomorrow.
3. We had the opportunity to celebrate Baby Cameron's first month birthday, which is really important milestone in the Chinese tradition.
Family and friends gather in the evening for a feast and some traditional customs include giving out Red Eggs (The eggs symbolize a new passage in life whereas the red color symbolizes celebration and good luck and the egg’s oval shape represents harmony and unity).
Why is the 30th day such a big deal? For the Taiwanese and Chinese, thirty days marks the end of the mother’s period of resting and confinement. In the olden days of high infant mortality, one month was also considered to be the point at which babies were out of danger and therefore safe to introduce the baby to the world, so it was cause for a big celebration.
So we ate some amazing food at FUGU Restaurant and celebrated baby Cameron. We also had some red eggs to bring home.
IT HAPPENED. And fruit to boot!

7. In an attempt to make clipping Louie's nails possible, we bought this K9 Custard from Michael's. He loved it enough, that I was able to get his back paws. Front paws are still untouched.
10. Have a great week!
