So, I haven't done one of these yet....and I'm one week out from my 3rd trimester. I'd like to be more consistent with these leading up to the big day!
When they say it goes fast, they aren't kidding.
It's really hard to believe that we are only 12ish weeks out from meeting this little one, and I couldn't be more excited! Confession: I sit in her room, in the glider, and stare at all her tiny clothes.
My friend Angie posts these updates, and they are a great way to document the experience along the way. I've been writing in a journal, but wanted to share Week 27. So here goes.
How far along? 27 weeks
Baby's size? a cauliflower, about 2 lbs and 14.5 inches long
Weight gain? 16 lbs
Belly button in or out? Still in, but flattening out. Not sure if it will pop out.
Wedding rings on or off? On
Sleep? Ok - waking up more often because of aches and pains and a small dog ;)
Best moment of the week? Prenatal yoga at Dragonfly on Wednesday. Just love that class.
Miss anything? Sleeping on my stomach. And a great glass of red wine after a long day.
Looking forward to? I have my first baby shower Sunday with my family and friends in Milwaukee! Can't wait to celebrate her.
Movement? She's going to be a soccer player. Constant kicking and movement. And I've heard from friends that "active in the womb means active outside, too!"
Food cravings? Everything and anything spicy....and chocolate shakes. Before I was pregnant, I couldn't tell you a single time I had ever ordered a chocolate shake. And now, they are a weekly treat! Also, my entire life, you couldn't get me near a piece of fish. And now - I want to eat it. So strange. But it has to be a white fish, mild, and fried :)
Anything making you sick or queasy? Whole cooked chicken breast. It's so gross and smells awful.
Exercise? Still running - although in intervals, and at a 10:54 pace. I'll run 400s (.25 miles) at a time, and then walk in between for a total of 30 min. Pushups, squats, and planks are staples, as well as yoga several times a week.
Symptoms? My latest ones include tingly hands and feet, some lower back pain, and left hip numbness. I've also been stuffy lately, which also is a symptom. Lucky for me, my awesome husband has read all the books, and so whenever I have a new symptom, he's always able to tell me why :)
Labor signs? Nope! Thank goodness.
