I'm committing. Week in the Life 2011: July 25th-July 31.
It's a great project that Ali Edwards "hosts" and encourages other scrapbookers to do where you document your everyday life for a week. It allows you to focus on documenting the everyday, and appreciating your life in the moment, instead of only capturing big events. Because really, when you look back, it's the everyday life and everyday decisions that really shape who we are and what we allow our life to be.
It does take a bit of time, journaling and taking photos, but is definitely one of my favorite projects I've ever done.
About Week in the Life from Ali Edwards' Blog:
This is a creative adventure. It requires little more than a camera and a willingness to pay attention and gather up stuff from your daily life.
Even if you have never scrapbooked before you can do this project.
This will be a pared down project from the one I have taught previously. Right now I am most interested in the photos and the words and that is where my focus will be throughout the week.
Some of you out there may be thinking: my life is boring or I do the same thing everyday or what story do I have to tell? As with many of the projects I have created, the documentation process is just as (and maybe more) important than the creative process of actually putting the album together. Most likely you will learn something about yourself over the course of this project. I learn something new every time.
The last time I did a Week in the Life was October 2009, so I'm eager to do this project since a lot has changed.
Here's a look at the last Week in the Life Project I did - I would have one full page for journaling, and then baseball card holder page with little pieces of info, and some cute scrapbooked things.
